MEET THE TEAM
With over 30 years in the fitness industry, I have gained valuable knowledge and experience as an advanced fitness coach, training complete beginners through to world champions. My specialism is in long term, sustainable solutions to fitness and health, improving strength and increasing sports performance. I design personal programs that guarantee results, using safe and proven methods, no fad diets, no magic pill just a balanced approach to diet and exercise. This is based on years of working with hundreds of clients and seeing the benefits of being fitter and healthier.
Personal Trainer & Class Instructor
From very early on, I developed a love of exercise- starting with ballet and tap dancing aged 9! I continued into my early 20’s, then got the aerobic bug, which inspired me to gain my first qualification RSA Exercise to music. I worked for Hi-NRG, teaching Step, Legs Bums Tums, Aqua and 250+ mass Aerobic sessions at various sports centres across the North West. It was in Burnley where I met my soulmate Mark who was a duty manager at the local sports centre, and the rest as they say is history! I continued to further my sports education, gaining qualifications in Revolution Cycle and Gym Instructor Level 2 and Personal Training Level 3. Finally, I am delighted to now be a full-time member of staff at our very own gym…MT3!
My area of expertise is nutrition. I have a professional Diploma in Nutrition and Health, working towards a BSc(hons). This has provided me with intensive knowledge in areas such as physiology and anatomy, diet and exercise, weight management, psychological approaches to health behaviours, biology and disease, nutrition across the lifespan, nutrition and metabolism and more! I enjoy both strength training and classes in the gym, alongside outdoor activities such as walking and running. If you see me in the gym, please feel free to ask for any nutritional advice, I’ll be happy to help!
Hi, I’m Matt! I am a 19-year-old fitness instructor, working towards my Level 3 Personal Training certificate here at MT3. In the gym, I specialise in strength and conditioning, fitness/endurance building, bulking and weight loss. Previously I studied Level 3 Sports Science at Burnley College, gaining qualifications in human biology, nutrition and coaching. From a young age, I have been a sports enthusiast, competing in swimming, cycling, running and football before turning to the gym into my passion. Over the past two years, I have transformed myself from an extremely lean cardio machine into an almost muscular looking lad!
Hey, I’m Molly! I will be working at MT3 as a part-time member of staff so you can find me at reception and on the gym floor if you need any assistance! My main passions are strength training, the great outdoors, horse riding and long walks with my dog- Penny. I have been working out properly for the past 2 years and wanted to become a personal trainer to show people that fitness can help with both physical and mental health. I have successfully completed the Level 2 Fitness Instructor and Level 3 Personal Training course at Burnley college and can’t wait to put my studies into practice!
Hi, I'm Kerry! I am a married, 31 year old mum of two babies and personal trainer. I only really started enjoying exercising and the gym around 15 years ago, then it became a passion and release for me. Though don't get me wrong, I've had my own journey with weight, exercise and having children and all the struggles which come with that, but I promised myself I would pursue my goal to gain my qualifications. I didn't have the opportunity until my 30th birthday and with the encouragement from my late grandad, I completed my level 2 and 3 in the same year, followed by gaining further qualifications in boxercise and spinning, which are two of my passions. Most of all, I love the feeling exercise gives me and want to help others to experience the same feelings and achieve their targets.
